JACKSON, MI A man accused of fatally shooting another outside a Jackson AutoZone in 2019 is scheduled to appear before a jury in August.
Eiron Bankhead appeared before Circuit Judge Susan Jordan on Friday, May 14, for a pretrial hearing. Bankhead allegedly shot Kordell Brzozowski after an argument on May 18, 2019, at the AutoZone located on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

NATCHITOCHES â A controversial call in the bottom of the ninth inning took what appeared to be a win away from McNeese in the second game of Saturdayâs doubleheader against Northwestern State, and two innings later, the Demons walked off with a 6-5 win to capture the Southland Conference series three games to one.
With McNeese leading 4-3 in the ninth and the tying run on third base, Cowboy relief pitcher Christian Vega appeared to have struck out a Demon batter swinging for the third out to capture the win. But as the Cowboys emptied the dugout to celebrate the win, the third base umpire ruled the batter foul-tipped the ball and extending the at-bat.

NATCHITOCHES â McNeese starting pitcher Will Dion got the early offense needed in Fridayâs first game of a doubleheader against Northwestern State when the Cowboys scored five runs in the first three innings while Dion cruised in six innings of work in a 7-1 win in a 7-inning Southland Conference game.
NSU ruined a masterful outing by Cowboy game two starter Bryson Hudgens who held the Demons to just two hits heading into the eighth inning, leading 3-1, when the Demons scored three, two-out runs to lift them to a 4-3 win and a split on the day.

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese and New Orleans combined to score 23 runs and 26 hits but unfortunately for the Cowboys, the Privateers came out on the winning end with a 13-10 victory as the two teams split the four-game Southland Conference series.
Each team pounded out 13 hits with four Cowboy players recording multiple hits. Left fielder Nate Collins led the McNeese offense with a 4 for 5 day at the plate that included a double and his first home run on the season.
