KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Tuesday night, The Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners voted to authorize Construction Manager CSM to move forward with awarding contracts for the countyâs nearly $95 million Justice Center project.
Construction will begin next month with a groundbreaking ceremony, according to officials.
Despite challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, officials say the project remains on track. The majority of the construction jobs created by the project will be hired locally. Commissioners say 90% of the construction that was bid on by local vendors were awarded locally.
