Rexburg working to fix potholes REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) - Potholes are springing up everywhere as the snow melts and it s the cars paying the price. The city of Rexburg is driven to fix the problem as soon as its workers can. So we received a numerous calls which is great to help us know where we have potholes so we can put out our city cruise to fix those, said Keith Davidson, Rexburg Public Works Director. Main street in Rexburg has seen many potholes over this month. “We get puddles, and as vehicles drive over those puddles, that pressure forces out the asphalt and the potholes will start to expand. We can go from a very small hole to a big giant pothole, said Davidson.

Snow sculptures, possible statewide festival take shape in Clayton

CLAYTON — A partnership between a veteran, award-winning snow sculptor and another sculptor/artist, also award-winning but not in the snow medium, is creating some cool scenes around the village.

Splatter Lab to open next month

“Jackson Pollock started the abstract art way back then. Pollock inspired (splatter) art,” said Steffany. In the 1940s, Pollock created what was referred to as “drip style” art where he splattered paint, reports the webpage guggenheim.org. “Pollock’s drips, also called ‘action paintings’ revolutionized the potential for contemporary art and furthered the development of Abstract Expressionism,” it reported. The Faldmos plan is to open their Splatter Lab on Jan. 15. It’s located in the T-Rex Plaza next to Little Caesars. Using four separate lab rooms, up to a dozen visitors may splatter paint all over the place for 30 minutes. They’ll be provided canvases that they can also take home to display their splatter artwork.

REXBURG Upper Valley school districts have benefited from a generous donation of hand sanitizer from local business owners Zachary and Kurt Harman, owners of Americlean Products. Madison School District 321, Sugar-Salem School District #322, Teton School District #401, and Fremont School District 215 received 420 gallons of hand sanitizer, and over 12,900 bottles of hand sanitizing spray to distribute to their schools for the use of students and staff. Americlean is a Rexburg based business. Kurt and Zachary Harman (owners of Ray’s Chevron and the BarberPop Shop) launched Americlean earlier this year in response to the COVID-19 health emergency.
