Marietta College’s Edward E. MacTaggart Department of Music is pleased to air the final Choir Concert of the 2020-21 academic year at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 30th. The pre-recorded concert will air on the department’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX-wMNeLwiY.
The concert, which is under the direction of Dr. Jay Dougherty, features the Concert Choir and Women’s Choir, with a combined number at the end.
“This year, with all our COVID restrictions, has been unique, to say the least,” said Dougherty, Assistant Professor and Director of Choral Activities. “However, our students have stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. Despite needing to mask and social distance, we’ve had some of the best sounding choirs since I’ve been here as director.”

The balancing part is the hardest, but it s also the funnest to try to balance, said 12-year-old Rebecca Miller.
