I have no idea what we can do but I feel so strongly about this I thought I’d email. A few people are spoiling the Heath for the many. To be honest, if it takes a ban on picnics and drinking to stop it then I’d be in support of such draconian measures if people cannot exercise the simple courtesy of taking their rubbish with them or depositing it in one of the many rubbish bins provided.
If you have received any other letters on this and/or there is something I can do to help stop this antisocial, selfish behaviour then I’d be glad to know.

Walkers and parents are calling for a church to reopen a shortcut between Highgate Hill and Dartmouth Park Hill, after it closed it off, citing fears for the safety of the public.
Last year, priests at St Joseph s Church took the decision to lock a gate which had been used for decades to access the adjacent St Joseph s School and other pedestrians.
Father Tiernan Doherty said it was a decision taken in response to police and insurance company advice after antisocial behaviour, petty crime, harassment and an assault against him on the premises.

Comics highlight women s history in Museum Of London videos
The Museum of London has recruited five comedians to make a series of videos about the role of women in the capital’s history.
Samantha Baines, Jenny Bede, Jen Ives, Thanyia Moore and Leila Navabi have each created a short piece inspired by a different item in the museum’s collections.
Moore is first with a monologue about female bus conductors, released today to coincide with International Women’s Day.
She was inspired by a photograph from the mid-1970s – the first time London Transport officially employed women as bus drivers.
