It may only be May, but one man in Louisiana is getting into the Christmas mood by donning a hat fit for Santa Claus himself. What s not part of the Christmas spirit, however, is he allegedly stole a school bus last week.
According to
KPLC, 34-year-old
Cody Moore, of Jennings, is thought to be the culprit behind a bus stolen from Lake Arthur High School on Tuesday, April 27. The bus was located later that day in Opelousas, over an hour away.

Chris Ivey said the bus was found on Crooked Road, and camera footage captured what appeared to be the suspect.

Moore was arrested by St. Landry deputies for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, then transferred to Jeff Davis and booked on simple burglary, theft, theft of a motor vehicle, and three counts of contempt of court. KINDER, La. (KPLC) - A Kinder man has been arrested after being accused of having inappropriate contact with a minor, according to the Jeff Davis Sheriffâs Office.
Chief Deputy Christopher Ivey says deputies responded to a report of a runaway juvenile and an indecent behavior complaint on Feb. 18, 2021.
The juvenile was found in Elton shortly after she was reported missing but upon being interviewed, investigators discovered she had left because she had been approached by a person who had inappropriate contact with her, Ivey said.
