Jeff Sims entered spring ball as an early enrollee and was projected by many including myself to be the fourth QB when competition began behind
James Graham (incumbent),
Jordan Yates, and fellow early enrollee Tucker Gleason. Graham is now at Georgia Southern, Gleason at Toledo, and Sims prevailed last fall winning the job.
There is a clear difference between Sims and the rest of the quarterbacks on the field that was evident both in games and spring ball this year.
Drunk driver in hit-and-run crash that injured 70-year-old-man is arrested

Investigators have tracked down a hit-and-run dunk driver who authorities say struck and seriously injured a 70-year-old pedestrian in Passaic last month.
Luisa Eusebio-Urena, 37, struck the man near the corner of of Pennington Avenue and Main Avenue around 5 a.m. on April 11, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday
Eusebio-Urena was charged with assault by auto while intoxicated and within 1,000 feet of school property, knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving serious bodily Injury and endangering an injured victim, officials said.
The Passaic resident surrendered at police headquarters Wednesday and was issued a summons before being released.

A look at football players in the Atlantic Coast Conference this spring who are poised to have standout seasons this fall (Notre Dame, which competed in the league last season, returned to FBS independent status in 2021):
ATLANTIC DIVISION
BOSTON COLLEGE: LB Kam Arnold played in the Eagles’ secondary as a freshman last season and made a case in spring to be a starting linebacker this fall. He had 15 tackles as he played all 11 games.
CLEMSON: WR Justyn Ross is expected back after missing last year due to a serious neck injury and figures to return to the form of a potential first-round NFL draft pick he showed his first two seasons. Ross, 6-foot-4, had 46 catches for 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns in 2018, then 66 receptions for 865 yards in 2019.

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech football’s 2021 spring game will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ACC Network.
The game will be comprised of two 15-minute halves of high-energy action, with Tech’s offense squaring off against the Yellow Jackets’ defense. Points scored when freshman quarterbacks
Jeff Sims or
Chayden Peery are leading the offense will be credited to the Gold “team.” Points scored when sophomore
Demetrius Knight or redshirt freshman
Jordan Yates are quarterbacking the offense will be credited to the White “team.” Conversely, any defensive points scored against the offense when Sims or Peery are at QB will go on the White’s tally, while defensive points scored with Knight or Yates at the helm of the offense will be a part of the Gold’s total.
