Double murder suspect identified as man Birmingham police killed; 4 wounded officers recovering Updated 9:29 AM; Facebook Share The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the slain man as Brian Timothy Dunne. He was 39 and lived in the apartment complex where he was killed. The four Birmingham police officers wounded in the shooting are at home recovering. Birmingham police said Dunne was suspected in the Sunday-morning slaying of a man and woman near the Brother Bryan Park in Five Points South. Sgt. Rod Mauldin said Dunne was reportedly in a dating relationship with the female homicide victim. The names of the two victims have not yet been released pending notification of their family.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the victim as Leroy Riles Jr. He lived in Birmingham. The crash happened at 11 p.m. in the 2400 block of Center Point Parkway. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Joni Money said deputies responding to the scene found the unresponsive man, who was pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m. The driver who hit him, however, had left the location.

17-year-old standing in courtyard killed in west Birmingham drive-by shooting Updated 8:21 AM; An investigation is underway after a deadly shooting Wednesday night in west Birmingham. West Precinct officers responded at 10 p.m. to a report of a person shot at 2737 Jefferson Avenue, said Sgt. Rod Mauldin. Police arrived to find the male victim on the ground suffering from and apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service rushed the victim to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:47 p.m. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the slain teen as James Williams. He lived in Pleasant Grove.

(JCSO) Facebook Share Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the occupants of an SUV involved in a fatal shooting Sunday afternoon in Fairfield. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the victim as Douglas MacArthur Crenshaw. He was 31 and lived in Birmingham. Birmingham police notified Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies shortly after 3 p.m. that a shooting happened at 311 Valley Road, said Sgt. Joni Money. Crenshaw was found in the 5700 block of Avenue O in Birmingham. The shooting happened at 2:32 p.m. and Crenshaw was pronounced dead on the scene at 2:57 p.m.
