Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, accused of molesting a minor has been granted bail by the police.
The actor was released on Monday afternoon on health grounds.
His lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, confirmed it to SaharaReporters.
The police had in April arrested Baba Ijesha for sexually harassing a 14-year-old girl.
Announcing his arrest in a statement, Lagos police spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi alleged that the actor had been sexually assaulting the teenager since she was seven.
The statement reads, “The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Olarenwaju James ‘male’ 48, aka Baba Ijesha, popular Nollywood actor for defiling a minor.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kwara Command, has arrested a 35-year-old man, Yusuf Abdullahi, for allegedly having canal knowledge of an 11-year girl.
Mr Babawale Afolabi, the spokesman of the command, said this in a statement in Ilorin on Monday.
It said that the case was reported to the Gender Unit of the NSCDC on May 15.
”Around 10:30 a.m, Abdullahi was caught in the act by one of our officers at Kaima Division, gaining canal knowledge of an 11- year- old girl, by the name Memunat Saheed.

Barely two months after an abandoned day-old newborn was rescued near a bush in the Oko-Oba area of Lagos, another baby abandoned around Orile bus stop has been found by the police.
The baby girl said to be about one-month-old was rescued around 8am on Friday by policemen attached to the Orile division and handed over to the Gender Unit of the state police command in Ikeja.
The spokesperson for the police, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Friday said some passersby who sighted the baby alerted the police.
Adejobi stated that the officer in charge of the gender unit took the baby to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, who directed that she should be given proper medical attention and taken to a government accredited shelter for custody and proper care.

Police operatives attached to the Lagos Command on Friday rescued a one-month-old abandoned baby at Orile area of Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Lagos, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement that the female child was rescued at 8 a.m. at the junction of Odun-Ade Filling Station by Orile Bus Stop where she was abandoned.
Mr Adejobi said the abandoned baby was sighted by passers-by who alerted the police operatives attached to Orile Division of the Lagos State Police Command before she was rescued and handed over to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja.
