Maximum Award Amount: $25,000 Examples of Prior Activities Funded Under the Julia Taft Project Here examples of previous Taft projects throughout the world: Improve the mental health of the migrant community. Build a playground for refugee children. Start an income-generating cooperative for returnees. Support livelihoods training and sports programs. Support a transit center for unaccompanied minor refugees and asylum seekers. Provide a shelter for 150 women and girls from migrant communities who are survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Support a vocational training program for refugees. Support returnees with manufacturing of liquid soap. Train refugees in gardening and running small businesses. Support an income-generating project and provide health care to disabled residents.

U.S. Mission to Guinea: Julia Taft Refugee Fund Program 2021 150SHARES Deadline: 20-Jan-21 U.S. Embassy Conakry, in collaboration with the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM), is pleased to welcome proposals via the Julia Taft Refugee Fund from potential partners in Guinea working in the field of refugee protection. The fund is meant to close low-cost gaps in refugee protection and assistance. Similarly, the intent of this initiative is to provide U.S. Ambassadors with the means to respond to critical programming gaps not addressed in larger multilateral refugee programs. Award Ceiling: $25000; Activities  Below are just a few examples of activities that can be funded under this program (Please make sure that there is a strong tie to the local context building on the competencies / capacity of the proposing organization):

U.S. Embassy in Malaysia: 2021 Julia Taft Refugee Fund 135SHARES Deadline: 3-Jan-21 U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), is pleased to welcome proposals from NGO partners working in the area of refugee protection and assistance in Malaysia through its Julia Taft Refugee Fund. This funding support is intended to meet one-time, low-cost intervention in refugee protection and assistance and respond to critical gaps that have not been met by larger multilateral refugee programs. The fund is not intended for recurring programs and is not meant as an emergency fund.
