The Pride Foundation Australia is seeking applications from existing or new peer-led support groups for LGBTIQA+ refugees and people seeking asylum in Australia.
The funding may be for regular group meetings (face-to-face and/or virtual), or for occasional gatherings, as needed locally. Applications must be led by LGBTIQA+ refugees and/or people seeking asylum and supported by an organisation that is willing and able to host the support group. Such organisations may be LGBTIQA+ community organisations, or refugee and asylum seeker organisations, or other community-based groups. PFA can provide assistance to find an appropriate organisation if needed.
Eligibility Criteria
Potential to demonstrate the ‘business case’ for a responsible investment/practice in one of six eligible areas
Registered in Myanmar and is an SME with 600 or less permanent staff or has less than 1 billion Kyat in paid-up capital
Operational for a minimum of two years and can show externally audited accounts for the most recent year
Not operating in excluded sectors (hard liquor, gambling, tobacco, weapons, internationally recognized exclusion list)
Not received RBF grant support through the earlier ‘calls for proposals’
Well prepared for the proposed project in terms of: technology identification; supplier shortlisting and raising finances to complete project before April 2022

Operating Women Protection Center (WPC) in Afghanistan.
Women Protection Center are safe shelters for survivors of violence and their children that provide vital essential services. The services provided in the WPCs include 24/7 free safe shelter, legal aid, healthcare, education (basic literacy and numeracy), vocational training (catering services, handicraft classes, computer, and English classes), psychosocial services, family counselling, support for reintegration into a safe living situation in their families or in the community, and referral to other services.
A women’s empowerment approach includes the following:
Ensure that women participate in decision making and are meaningfully and regularly engaged in the management of the centre, particularly for WPCs
