Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, identified the slain suspects as alias “JR” and a certain “Nato”.
Cajipe said that JR was killed after he fired shots at Bocaue policemen in an anti-drugs operation in Barangay Duhat at dawn Friday. His cohort managed to flee.
Recovered from JR were a .38-caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, six plastic sachets of suspected shabu, and the buy-bust money.
A day prior to the Bocaue gunfight, Nato was killed when he allegedly engaged the police in a shootout during an entrapment operation in Barangay Tibagan, Bustos town, around 11:10 p.m. His cohort also managed to flee on board a black Yamaha Mio.

The officer was identified as Police Chief Master Sergeant Homer Arcano Jr., assigned to the Directorates for Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) in Western Mindanao.
Meanwhile, the driver who is currently recovering from his injuries was identified as Romeo Saul, 37.
Police said that the incident occurred along C.M Delos Reyes Ave. Barangay Biclatan, Gen. Trias City in Cavite.
Investigation showed that Saul was onboard his car, while PCMS Homer Arcano was onboard his motorcycle with both of them heading toward Barangay Manggahan.
According to investigators, Arcano noticed that Saul was driving in a wayward and reckless manner. At that moment, Arcano while driving behind Saul used his horn to call his attention.

This, as DA Spokesperson Noel Reyes acknowledged Tuesday, Feb. 23 that some markets in Metro Manila still sell pork at P350 a kilo, which is P50 to P80 above the price ceiling being imposed by the national government.
“Ang sources ng protina hindi lamang baboy, manok. May isda, soy beans at siyempre ang pinakamura sa lahat, itlog (Pork and chicken aren’t the only sources of protein. There’s fish, soy beans, and of course the cheapest of all, eggs),” Reyes said during an online press briefing.
Reyes, who holds the position of assistant secretary, admitted that pork vendors in the metropolis still charge up to P350 a kilo amid the hog shortage.
