Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, identified the slain suspects as alias “JR” and a certain “Nato”.
Cajipe said that JR was killed after he fired shots at Bocaue policemen in an anti-drugs operation in Barangay Duhat at dawn Friday. His cohort managed to flee.
Recovered from JR were a .38-caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, six plastic sachets of suspected shabu, and the buy-bust money.
A day prior to the Bocaue gunfight, Nato was killed when he allegedly engaged the police in a shootout during an entrapment operation in Barangay Tibagan, Bustos town, around 11:10 p.m. His cohort also managed to flee on board a black Yamaha Mio.
