Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Duane Hiebert appeared in US District Court to submit a plea of guilty to charges of attempted possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamines.
Assistant US Attorney Jack Schmidt says Hiebert will be sentenced in March.
The case involved the shipment of drugs from the lower 48 to Juneau. Some 494 grams of methamphetamine were seized by authorities.
The drugs were hidden inside a package handled by the US Postal Service that also contained a microwave.
The drugs were estimated to be worth about $49,000.
