Malta covered the expenses of four countries that participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which the island hosted in 2016, according to former Public Broadcasting Services CEO John Bundy. The veteran broadcaster, who on Tuesday was awarded €226,000 over his unfair dismissal, told the Industrial Tribunal that during his short tenure at the helm of PBS, he had held a meeting with the European Broadcasting Union’s chair about the contest. Bundy was informed that according to an agreement reached with PBS chairman Tonio Portughese, Malta was meant to fork out expenses for six countries, if they accepted to participate in the event.

Bobi was born in Melbourne in 1994 to Macedonian parents originating from Strumica, North Macedonia. He began singing at the young age of six and dancing from the age of seven. He learnt to play the piano and the flute. By nine years old he performed in youth musicals. Bobi even starred as Danny Zuko in a junior production of Grease the musical. He also performed in annual performances, cabarets and eisteddfods.

The 2021 Spanish Eurovision entry will be determined via a 100 % public voting deliberation. TVE is working round the clock in order to showcase an exciting and entertaining song selection show. Blas Canto and his team have shortlisted a total of two entries along with TVE’s Eurovision team and Warner Music Spain. Both songs are very different from each another. Attention all Eurovision fans out there! Stefania Liberakakis, who saw her Eurovision dream dashed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will return to represent Greece in the song contest this year with a brand-new song. Eurovision 2021 will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in May. According to sources, the track has a positive, hopeful message. “I fell in love with the melody of this song from the first moment I listened to it. I can’t wait to fly to Athens and record the final version, so you all can hear it soon!!” Stefania posted on social media. ‘Last Dance’ is the song creation by composer group Arcade together with well-known Eurovision veteran Dimitris Kontopoulos, who composed Stefania’s 2020 entry ‘SUPERG!RL’.  The lyrics are written by Sharon Vaughn.
