CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Though many of us stayed dry yesterday, the official total at Corpus Christi International Airport was a trace of rainfall.
There were a couple of storms that sparked inland around Ben Bolt and near the Alice area that dropped heavy rain and brought strong winds to the Coastal Bend.
Weâll have a repeat of that today, but the showers and storms will be more widespread and become numerous to likely in the region.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â We start off, on this Memorial Day, with plenty of humid and warm conditions over South Texas.
Weâre still holding on to a good amount of moisture pumping in off the Gulf of Mexico which is helping things stay on the muggy side.
The Coastal Bend received a good amount of rainfall over the start of the weekend, with some locations picking up from 1-3 inches of rain.
Moving into this week, weâll be watching an upper-level disturbance out to our west that will send pockets of instability almost each day into the weekend. That means weâll be returning to a wet weather pattern.
