Burlington Riverfront Entertainment kicked off its inaugural Summer Concert Series last week with free concerts by two of the area s favorite bands, Burlington rock-disco-funkers Jive Radio on Thursday and Warsaw, Illinois, up-country-rock band Stumptown featuring Jerad Harness on Friday, with new Southeast Iowa rock band Jarrod Hogan & South 55 making their debut.
Friday s crowd was the biggest of the weekend, with an estimated 800 music fans present. Stumptown put on one heck of a show.
