PORTLAND, Ind. A Portland woman has agreed to enter a guilty plea stemming from her three-month-old son s drug-related death. Under the terms of a plea bargain, 35-year-old Jennifer F. Young would plead guilty to neglect of a dependent resulting in death, a Level 1 felony carrying up to 40 years in prison. However, the deal places a 20-year cap on Young s sentence Jay Circuit Court Judge Brian Hutchison took the deal under advisement and tentatively scheduled a May 17 hearing at which Young would plead guilty and be sentenced.
