Town have again been linked with summer moves for Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp and Dundee United frontman David Goodwillie. The Blues are also said to be chasing 22-year-old Dagenham and Redbridge winger Danny Green.
Sharp, 25, has long been linked with the Blues with manager Paul Jewell having watched the former Sheffield United man in action against his old club Derby in March. Further reports claim that Rovers value Sharp at £2.5 million.
Scottish 22-year-old Goodwillie, who according to today’s reports will be the subject of a £750,000 Town offer, was first mentioned in connection with the Blues early last month with Jewell having confirmed that Dundee United had been watched, winger Craig Conway previously having been said to be a target.
Cook: To Go Away From Home and Win Was Important

Boss Paul Cook felt it was important for the Blues to record their first away victory under his management away at Swindon, despite the result ultimately meaning nothing.
James Norwood scored twice, one a penalty, and later missed a second spot-kick, while ex-Blues frontman Brett Pitman netted for the home side. While Swindon are already relegated, Town have no chance of making the play-offs.
“You know yourselves, it’s going to be a difficult couple of games finishing off,” Cook said. “But to come away from home and win was important because you get criticisms levelled at you, the staff, myself, the players, and it hurts, it does hurt.

Tommy Smith is set to start at left-back in place of the injured Aaron Cresswell as Town end their campaign at Doncaster. Ibrahima Sonko, who leaves the club after today’s match, will partner Damien Delaney at the centre of the defence.
Sonko’s inclusion is one of two changes with Lee Martin returning to the team in his role behind lone striker Michael Chopra.
Neither Grant Leadbitter nor Lee Bowyer are included in the squad, while Jimmy Bullard and 16-year-old Byron Lawrence are on the bench.
Youngster Joe Whight was on the bench, Jack Ainsley initially having been named in error. Ainsley travelled by was left out of the 16 along with second-choice keeper Richard Wright, who also leaves the club in the summer. Full match preview here

Blues boss Paul Jewell was pleased to finish the season with a win but was unhappy with his side allowed Doncaster back into a match he thought should have been settled inside the first half.
Jewell said: “It’s nice to finish on a victory but I wouldn’t say it was a high. I thought we were cruising at 2-0, and then they got back in it at 2-1 and I thought we were distinctly average in the second half, which shows you that we need to improve the squad.

First-half goals from Tommy Smith and Ryan Stevenson and a penalty after the break from Jason Scotland saw the Blues to a 3-2 final day of the season win at Doncaster. Smith headed in the opener, then Stevenson hammered in a second, prior to Fabien Robert pulling one back for the home side. In an understated second period, Scotland netted from the spot, then in injury time Habib Beye completed the scoring.
