LAHORE: Several private university students sustained injuries after they got into a clash with security guards during demonstrations against in-person examinations. The students have been demanding online exams because classes were also held virtually.
Students were present outside a university located at Jinnah Road in Johar Town since morning. According to police, between 300 and 350 students partook in the protest.
The students of the private university reached the educational institute s main gate where they chanted slogans against the varsity s administration.

Deputy Commissioner and Administrator DMC (South) Irshad Ali has announced that Karachi is getting another food street. This new food street will be situated at Karachi’s iconic Burns Road.
Starting January, 10, 2021 the pedestrian food street will offer yummy food and just an opportunity to get out of the house after a long lockdown. The district administration really just wanted to do something good for its citizens.

Several roads in Karachi were blocked on Wednesday as protests continued for a second day and spilled over to different areas of the metropolis against the killing of Shia Hazara miners in the Mach area of Balochistan earlier this week.
Television footage showed plumes of smoke rising as demonstrators took to the streets, burning tyres and wood and disrupting traffic.
According to a police update, today s protests, which were organised by the Majlis-i-Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM), were happening at several places across the city, including Abbas Town, Abul Hasan Ispahani Road, Kamran Chowrangi at Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Power House Chowrangi in North Karachi, M. A. Jinnah Road, Sharea Faisal and Malir 15. One track of the Sharea Faisal was also closed for traffic, according to the update.
