A teenager was ordered by a juvenile court to clean school premises and teach dalit students for three months. The punishment was given for using a proxy to write his matriculation examination two years ago.
A three-member jury headed by judicial magistrate Jigar Shah passed the order directing the teenager to undertake social service comprising cleaning school premises and teaching students in a dalit tola (colony) in his village for three months to atone for his mistake, his lawyer Shakeel Ahmed said.
