Central Flats
Construction was completed on the new mixed-use building that stands on the site of the former Central Middle School, offering 136 market-rate apartments and 12,000 square feet of commercial space.
The 175,000-square-foot, five-story structure started welcoming new residential tenants late last year, and its first commercial customer, Imperium Chiropractic, is planning to open this summer.

There has been a demand, among fans of a certain Louisiana-style pop-up restaurant working out of the kitchen at Zeitgeist Arts Cafe, to bring out the beignets.
Consider it done.
Robert Lee, the southern-raised creative behind Gumbo Boi, is serving a one-day-only brunch as part of the upcoming offerings for Eat Downtown the Greater Downtown Council’s take on restaurant week and the French powder sugar covered donuts are on the menu alongside crepes, shrimp and grits, and po’boys.
More changes are planned for the spring.
Chase Nordby said they plan to add an additional dock to the 10 slips they have on Amnicon Lake in front of the business. The campground offers 48 campsites of which all but 10 are already rented to seasonal campers who return every year and five mobile homes for rent. The Nordbys run a small store out of the bar, offering odds and ends campers may have forgotten to bring with them, as well as a laundry facility.
