Two more suspects granted bail in woman’s suicide case Karachi May 5, 2021 A local court on Tuesday granted bail to two more suspects arrested for allegedly blackmailing a woman and inducing her to commit suicide. Amir and Waqas moved a joint application through their counsel seeking post-arrest bail and contending that they had been behind bars for the past three weeks but the investigators had not been able to find any clue against them. They pleaded the court to release them. On a query from the court, the investigating officer said that the mobile phones of the suspects and the victim were sent for forensic examinations to the Federal Investigation Agency but they could not retrieve data from them so the probe was still under way.

Suspect granted bail in woman’s suicide case National May 4, 2021 KARACHI: A local court on Monday granted bail to a suspect held in a case pertaining to allegedly blackmailing of a woman and inducing her to commit suicide. The additional district and sessions judge Central, Liaqat Ali Khoso, ordered Irtiza to submit a surety of Rs100,000 to secure his release and directed him to cooperate with the investigators while on bail. Six suspects, including Shahid, Asad, Farhan, Waqas, Amir and Irtiza, were booked for their alleged involvement in blackmailing and harassing a 41-year-old married woman who killed herself by hanging with her dupatta from the ceiling fan. According to the prosecution, the suspects were arrested in connection with the victim’s death. He added that the woman in her last audio messages to a friend had named the suspects saying that they had been harassing her. Irtiza through his counsel moved an application in the court last week, seeking post-arrest bail

Mumbai: Car designer Dilip Chhabria granted bail in Rs 22 crore cheating case File Photo Mumbai: A city civil and sessions court on Tuesday, granted bail to boutique car designer Dilip Chhabria in a Rs 22 crore case of cheating an auto parts dealer. The court while granting bail stated in its order that any attempt to delay the trial would be grounds to cancel the relief. The court said he must co-operate with the court for the expeditious disposal of the case. The court has ordered him to be released on a cash bail of Rs 2 lakh. He has also been directed to attend the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) office, where the complaint is registered, as and when required by the investigating officer.
