Special teams: 13
This is what everyone anticipated entering the season: The defense would have to lead this franchise, and it has. With five first-round picks along the defensive line and the No. 2 overall pick in Chase Young, that s how it should be. Washington s defense ranks in the top 10 in both yards and points allowed; it hasn t finished a season that way since 2008. The offense needs work and remains inconsistent; that, too, hasn t been a surprise. At season s start, coach Ron Rivera said it might not be until 2021 that the offense really starts humming. This team is better with quarterback Alex Smith but still inconsistent. The special-teams coverage has been good, and punter Tress Way has been terrific.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Trace McSorley will undergo an MRI on Tuesday morning, and doctors are hopeful the knee injury he suffered during Monday night’s victory over the Cleveland Browns will not end his season, a person with knowledge of the situation told PennLive.
The Ravens’ initial belief is that McSorley might have sprained his left knee without tearing a ligament. That could allow second-year quarterback out of Penn State to return to the field at some point this year.
Ravens QB Trace McSorley has sprained knee but no serious injury By Zac Wassink | Last updated 12/15/20
Things appeared bleak for Baltimore Ravens backup quarterback Trace McSorley and his teammates with two minutes remaining in Monday s memorable prime-time showdown with the Cleveland Browns.
McSorley went down to what seemed to be a serious knee injury as starting signal-caller and reigning regular-season Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson was dealing with cramping issues inside the locker room. Jackson returned to the field just as McSorley became a spectator, however, and then connected with wide receiver Marquise Brown for a 44-yard go-ahead touchdown.
Baltimore won after Justin Tucker converted a 55-yard field-goal attempt in the closing seconds.
There was speculation and tons of jokes on social media from people who suspected Jackson left the game to poop before returning with just over two minutes left. Pierce infamously left an NBA Finals game in a wheelchair before returning. It wasn’t until years later he admitted he just needed to poop.
The Ravens quarterback said he was dealing with cramps and was administered an IV.
Lamar Jackson said he first cramped in his arm and then he started cramping in his legs, which led him to go to the locker room
A bandage on his left arm seemed to confirm the IV he received for the cramps.
