LifeJacket Skin Protection, manufactured in Poole, is a lightweight, water-resistant skin protection product. It is the creation of three friends in their 30s – Billly Boulos, Rob Sumner and Jono Sumner. Jono Sumner said: “Like everyone else, I thought I was invincible until I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 34. It was a real wake-up call.” He decided to help other men protect themselves from skin cancer, the most easily preventable cancer. Men in the UK are twice as likely to develop skin cancer as women. Male skin cancer cases have exploded over the past 20 years and are forecast to double over the next 20 – largely because men are not protecting their skin when outdoors or not applying protection all year.

Na Rossa’s John Paul Breslin is a Donegal club stalwart who has also represented his county at underage. The big man also had spells in both London and Boston.

Paul Durcan (Four Masters). I played against both Paul and Gary Walsh, another great ‘keeper. But Paul would just about shade it as he brought a different edge to things with his kick-outs. Huge presence as well.

The passion with which John Gildea speaks about his family, his home, as well as his business in Kinnegad, makes one realise that these are the important things in life and are to be cherished.
1. When was the business established and were any previous generations involved? The late Pat Gildea and his wife Rita opened their pharmacy in Kinnegad in 1955, with their son John taking over the business in 1994.
2. Did the family live in Kinnegad for many years / where did they come from? Both of Johnâs parents, the late Pat and Rita, came from Sligo but John and four siblings were born and reared in Kinnegad. John tells us that his father used to stop off in Kinnegad during his trips to Dublin and spotting a niche for a pharmacy in Kinnegad, he decided to set up shop and home there.

Gerard McGrenra has had a long and fruitful senior career with Glenswilly, and is the proud owner of three Donegal senior football championship medals.
However, Glenswilly weren’t always at the top table during his career, and McGrenra’s sharp-shooting was one of the reasons they were able to climb up through the ranks.
He has been playing senior football for 31 years and intends to line out for the Glen’s third team once again in 2021.
McGrenra has faced some top quality players over the course of his career and has this week picked the best fifteen he has faced, with honourable mentions for Nigel Black (Milford), Sean Bonner (Na Rossa), and Christy Toye (St Michael’s).

James Gallagher enjoyed a long and fruitful career with his club Gaoth Dobhair.
He made his debut in 1994 and was involved with the Gaoth Dobhair seniors all the way up until 2018 when they won the Donegal and Ulster titles.
Gallagher also won county championships in 2002 and 2006 and represented the Donegal senior side with distinction as well.
