MISHAWAKA â School City of Mishawaka employees now have rapid COVID-19 antigen testing available to them at the districtâs administration building.
Kory LaBonne, director of school services & assessment, told the school board on Wednesday that the testing program was ready to begin.
Employees who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 and who have not been identified as being in close contact with an infected person are eligible to receive a rapid antigen test. The test is capable of producing results in about 15 minutes.
School employees will have to be screened and approved by the district for the testing, LaBonne said.
The district explored the testing program as a way to offer employees answers on whether they have COVID-19.
