An interactive map that highlights places in Canada named after women throughout the country’s history features two Kingston-area landmarks.
The map was unveiled to the public on Monday, International Women’s Day. Assembled by the Geographical Names Board of Canada, in collaboration with Natural Resources Canada, it features 500 place names that tell a story about part of Canada’s history through the lives of Canadian women, both prominent and ordinary.
