BLACKMAN TWP., MI – Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety officers received their first round of vaccinations against COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Ten officers received the vaccine from the Jackson County Health Department on Dec. 23, Director Mike Jester said. There are 15 officers scheduled to be vaccinated in future weeks, he said.
“This is going to hopefully get things back to normal for us so that we’ve got everybody back in the office and our lobby can be open,” Jester said. “That’s a little over a month away but it’s a step in the right direction.”
