Panchillo s Four Goals Push Wildcats Past Bears | KCII Radio

A home Southeast Iowa Super Conference victory is what the Columbus Community boys’ soccer team accomplished on Friday when they welcomed Danville to town and came away with a 5-1 win.  The Wildcats controlled this one right from the start by jumping out to a 4-0 halftime lead and the Bears (2-2) never threatened to make it close. Javier Panchillo had himself a night with four goals and assisting on the other. Gary Molina had the other tally and managed one assist. Freshman Jacob Haines did his job in goal with six saves.  Columbus improves to 7-4 and hosts Washington on Thursday. 

Court appearance continued for Brian St John | News, Sports, Jobs

From staff reports LOCK HAVEN The first court appearance for Brian St. John III, charged with criminal homicide in the death of Jakob L. Haines, 21, last Friday night, has been continued. The proceeding, originally scheduled for Central Court yesterday, is now scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, in Central Court. The defendant made a brief appearance via Zoom with his attorney, David Lindsay, before the announcement was made to continue the proceeding. St. John, 19, of Lock Haven, remains in the Clinton County Correctional Facility without bail. According to state police at Lamar, St. John was holding the Taurus Judge revolver and shot Haines in the chest during a gathering at the St. John residence at 330 Brewery Hollow Road, Woodward Township.

One dead after Clinton County shooting

State police say Jakob Haines, 21, of Beech Creek, was shot to death Friday night.  Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna says Haines died from a close-contact gunshot wound to the chest. He has ruled the manner of death as a homicide. State police have arrested Brian St. John, 19, of Woodward Township. According to the Clinton County District Attorney, St. John faces charges related to criminal homicide and aggravated assault. The shooting happened on Brewery Hill Road in Woodward Township, near Lock Haven.  In court documents, St. John told police he was having a gathering at this home on Brewery Hill Road where they were messing around with a gun.
