A foreigner was arrested while three compounds and 70 summonses were issued during a Targeted Operation carried out by police here since June 2.
District Police Chief ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad, in a statement, said the operation is against private individuals providing transport services without permit or commonly known as “kereta sapu” who violate the standard operating procedures during the Movement Control Order (MCO 3.0).
The operation focused on three locations, namely Jalan Mawar, Jalan Kastam Lama and Jalan Pantai.
He said the 70 summonses were issued against kereta sapu drivers, while three for failure to comply with the SOPs

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia continues to record more than 4,000 daily Covid-19 cases, with 4,519 new cases in the past 24 hours, said Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said the new cases brought the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country to 436,944 cases.
Selangor, he added, was still reporting the highest cases with 1,722 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (557) and Sarawak (479).

“In the past 24 hours, there were 2,719 recovery cases recorded, taking the cumulative recovery cases to 398,723,” he told a media conference on the development of Covid-19 situation, here, Saturday.
He said there were 393 Covid-19 patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with 210 of them on ventilators, while fatalities due to the disease rose to 1,657 cases following 25 new cases reported Saturday.

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry
today reported 1,555 new Covid-19 cases, a drop to a level not seen since late
December last year.
Most of the new cases involved Malaysians (71.4 percent) and those
living in the Klang Valley (52.6 percent).
However, the number of patients in intensive care and requiring
ventilators did not show discernable trends over a seven-day period.
Active cases: 24,563
Deaths
Currently, the Klang Valley accounts for 35 percent of all
Covid-19 related deaths.
The youngest victim today, a foreigner, was aged 44 while the oldest was a
Malaysian aged 80.
