Odisha Govt Launches New Bus Terminus Project in Name of Netaji at His Birthplace

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched a state-of-the-art bus terminus project named after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at his birthplace Cuttack. Patnaik laid the foundation stone of the Rs 65 crore Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal (CNBT) at Khannagar on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter Saturday. Netaji was born on January 23, 1897 at his ancestral house Janakinath Bhawan, named after his father Janakinath Bose, in Oriya Bazar area of the Cuttack city. He spent his early childhood in Cuttack.

Agartala (Tripura) [India], January 24 (ANI): To mark the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, people participated in a cycle rally organised by Agartala Cycloholics near Ramnagar Road in Agartala on Saturday.
Many youngsters were seen cycling on the road with enthusiasm to mark Netaji s birth anniversary and spread awareness about cycling.
Speaking to ANI, Gopesh Debnath, team leader of Agartala Cycloholics said, Today, we are celebrating Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose s birthday. As a tribute, we wish to spread awareness about the importance of cycling. I feel that the roads in Agartala are very congested. This is because there are a lot of vehicles on roads which leads to the rise of global warming.
WHO WAS SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE? Subhash Chandra Bose Subhash Chandra Bose is fondly remembered as one of the greatest freedom fighters of India, and popularly known by the name of Netaji (Respected Leader). He was strongly influenced by Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, and also believed that the Bhagavad Gita was a great source of inspiration for the struggle against the British. Bose was an Indian nationalist, and a prominent figure of the Indian independence movement. The leader spearheaded the revolutionary Indian National Army during World War II. He always pitched for complete and unconditional independence of India from the British Rule.
