New Hazelton RCMP have seized drugs and cash during an investigation.
During the first two weeks of January New Hazelton RCMP seized a significant quantity of drugs, a large sum of cash and drug paraphernalia after an active and ongoing investigation.
Police seized suspected heroine, fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine and cash in excess of $39,000.

Early in the morning on January 14, RCMP went to a residence on the 2100 block of Norwood Street to assist Prince George Fire Services with a residential fire. When frontline members arrived they observed that the entire residence was on fire. The homeowner was able to make it out of the residence before emergency services arrived.
A fire investigator from the Prince George RCMP attended the scene as the City Fire Investigators believed the cause of the fire to be suspicious. Examination of the residence showed investigators that the fire began outside of the residence. Investigators believe that this was an arson.
Northern Health continues to report Covid-19 school exposures in the region
School District 52 has reported an exposure event at Lax Kxeen Elementary School between the dates of January 7th and 8th.
School District 91 has reported an exposure event at Decker Lake Elementary School between January 4th and 6th. In Prince George there has been an exposure at Prince George Secondary School between January 6th and 7th.
In Terrace there was an exposure between January 4th and 6th at Uplands Elementary School.
