GUWAHATI: After the Pariyal Sampark Abhiyan that will end on Sunday, BJP in Assam is now ready to reach out to the masses through street plays from March 1.
The party, which distributed leaflets highlighting the government’s achievements and welfare steps taken for the people during its door-to-door campaign, has formed five drama groups comprising 10 actors each for the campaign through street plays.
“The groups will travel across the state and perform street plays highlighting government’s achievements and welfare steps taken for the people. Drama or plays being a mode of entertainment will help in reaching the common people at the micro level. If there is social media to reach a particular section of society, then there are street plays and music to reach another section which is not familiar with advanced technologies,” popular Assamese actor Jatin Bora, who rejoined the party in August last year, told T
