SHELBY CO., Tenn. (WMC) - The Shelby County Health Department announced second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be administered starting this week. This Wednesday, people can start getting their second dose of the vaccine.
The health department said people can start making appointments online and by phone starting at 8:00 on Monday morning.
These doses are specifically for seniors and first responders who got their first shots at Lindenwood Christian Church or Sycamore View Road between December 28 and January 3rd.

SHELBY CO., Tenn. (WMC) - Another 1,710 Tennesseans have tested positive for the coronavirus within the last 24 hours and 111 others have died, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
TDH says there has been a total of 710,427 COVID-19 cases and 8,970 virus-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 2,068 Tennesseans battling the virus in hospitals across the state and data shows there are over 44,000 active cases statewide.
Second doses will be offered to those who got vaccinated at Sycamore View Road and Lindenwood Christian Church from December 28 through January 3, 2021.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Distribution locations for the COVID-19 vaccine reopened in Memphis Saturday to long lines and more confusion.
Health officials say it’s critical that everyone sign up for an appointment before getting in line to get vaccinated.
The Shelby County Health Department says COVID-19 vaccinations are available for first responders and others a part of the 1a1 group and people over 75 years old who are part of the 1a2 group.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Shelby County Health Department continues its vaccination rollout.
This week, itâs administering vaccines to frontline health care workers and first responders like police, fire and EMT personnel.
Theyâre among the first to get the vaccine because the nature of their jobs means they must encounter different people day-to-day.
