TDH: Over 44K active COVID-19 cases in Tennessee, 111 deaths reported

SHELBY CO., Tenn. (WMC) - Another 1,710 Tennesseans have tested positive for the coronavirus within the last 24 hours and 111 others have died, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
TDH says there has been a total of 710,427 COVID-19 cases and 8,970 virus-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 2,068 Tennesseans battling the virus in hospitals across the state and data shows there are over 44,000 active cases statewide.
