Cheatom Park, King-Irving, Mondamin-Presidential, Good Park, River Bend and Chautauqua Park neighborhoods: 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., at Cheatem Park; food and entertainment will be provided. Douglas Acres neighborhood: 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at the Euclid Hy-Vee room, at 2540 E Euclid Ave. Drake neighborhood: 5 p.m.-8 p.m., at Drake Park, at 2300 Drake Park Ave.; food and beverages will be available.

Food On The Move Brings Back Community Block Parties To Help Feed Tulsa

Credit Food On The Move A local nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity is resuming its monthly block parties featuring entertainment, food trucks and fresh produce on a pay as you can model. Food On The Move is at Chamberlain Park at 4940 N Frankfort Ave. Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. They’ll be back there the third Tuesday of every month the rest of the year. Starting July 27, Food On The Move will be at Greenwood Cultural Center, 322 N Greenwood Ave., the fourth Tuesday of each month. In September, they’ll add a stop at Tulsa Community College Northeast Campus, 3727 E Apache St.

Food On The Move Kicks Off Monthly Community Block Parties Food On The Move is hosting it s first of many community block parties Tuesday evening at Chamberlain Park. The event will have a festival like atmosphere with music, food trucks and activities. It starts at 5:30p.m. and is a pay what you can event so guests can still support the non-profit while also ensuring families in need have access to groceries, a hot meal and other community resources. Food on the Move will continue its mission through these monthly events, serving two locations within north Tulsa food deserts Chamberlain Park and Greenwood Cultural Center. The first monthly event at Greenwood Cultural Center will be held Tuesday, July 27th.
