Food shelves all over the state will increase their donation drives over the next month.
The Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, running now through April 11, benefits 300 food shelves statewide, including the Channel One Food Shelf in Rochester.

Emma and Cory Behnken had a plan for their latest stimulus check from the federal government. They wanted to give the money back to the local community. So while Bravo Espresso employee Andrew Meissner was helping another customer, Emma Behnken slid a $600 check on the counter and walked away.
Meissner was floored . . . and admittedly misty-eyed by the gesture. The Behnkens are longtime customers of the downtown coffee shop and said they were simply following Meissner s example. He had posted on Facebook that he was giving back by buying from local businesses.
