SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. Two sergeants with the Sevierville Police Department and one officer helped stop an unconscious driver from drifting into oncoming traffic on Wednesday.
Around 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Sergeant Bryan Lewelling was at a traffic light on Dolly Parton Parkway and Henderson Avenue when he noticed a driver slumped over the wheel in the car next to him, according to officials.

SEVIERVILLE â The Sevierville Fire Department is looking into land purchase options for a new fire station in Kodak.
Fire Chief Matt Henderson presented a few options to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen during a workshop Monday afternoon, including a five-acre section of land near the Kodak United Methodist Church or a 34-acre farm adjacent to the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center.
âAs we look at putting the station in Kodak we look at what we have right now, but weâre also trying to evaluate what our potential growth is in the future,â Henderson said.
Much of that growth includes residential and industrial areas, including many projects near the interstate.
