THE newly-appointed principal of Sacred Heart College will take up the role in April, it has been announced.
Drumquin man, Michael Gormley, is due to start at the Omagh post-primary school on Monday, April 12, just after the Easter holidays.
Mr Gormley’s appointment as Sacred Heart’s new principal was announced by the school on its Facebook page last Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the school said, “The whole college community looks forward to working with Mr Gormley in the delivery of an excellent education to our pupils.”
The Drumquin man has been principal of St Patrick’s College in Dungiven for the past number of years.

Acting principal of Sacred Heart College, Celia McGinn, and her staff are looking forward to showing prospective students what life is like at the school from Friday, January 22. “We seek to ensure that all our pupils fulfil their potential in Sacred Heart College. Our college curriculum is designed to stretch our gifted and talented pupils while supporting pupils in areas where they are challenged.
