Romanian 19-year-old charged with thousands in local ATM withdrawal thefts

WENATCHEE A California man suspected of using bogus credit cards to steal about $16,000 from Wenatchee Valley ATMs is now in custody.
Fabio Ciuciu, 19, has been identified as the person in a photograph taken from a Cashmere Valley bank cash machine in February 2019, when he allegedly sought to withdraw cash on a phony credit card. He was charged by warrant with first-degree theft plus nine counts of identity theft, for allegedly using information stolen by credit card skimmers to create fake cards and withdraw cash.

WENATCHEE Two men are now under arrest for last Wednesday’s fatal shooting in a Wenatchee apartment.
Shane Earl Hagen, 47, of Wenatchee and Brendyn Cain Ripper, 25, of East Wenatchee were booked into the Chelan County jail over the weekend Hagen after treatment for a bullet wound to his own leg. Jesús Manuel “Hazer” Garcia, 36, of Toppenish was shot to death in the incident, about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Idaho Street.
Hagen was hospitalized in custody until his release to the Chelan County jail Saturday afternoon. He allegedly claimed to have shot himself accidentally while target shooting, and sought treatment. Police say Ripper turned himself in on Sunday.
