A Queensland police officer who was struck on the Bruce Highway by a suspected stolen vehicle on Saturday morning has died.
Police said Senior Constable David Masters was hit while trying to stop the vehicle with road spikes at Burpengary, about 40 kilometres north of Brisbane, just after 3am.
Queensland police have paid tribute to Senior Constable David Masters and his family.

The 53-year-old died at the scene despite the efforts of his colleague and first responders, while the vehicle remains the subject of an extensive police search.
