Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Woodhill
Police are appealing to the public for dash-camera footage as part of their investigation into a fatal traffic crash at Woodhill this morning.
Around 11.20am, a man riding a motorcycle was travelling southbound along the Mount Lindesay Highway.
Initial investigations indicate that the motorcycle travelled onto the wrong side of the road where it collided with an oncoming BT-50 utility and then a Ford Mustang, which caught alight.
The 38-year-old motorcycle rider sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the utility received minor injuries to his forearms. His female passenger was uninjured.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to cut free two of the passengers. Our initial inquiries indicate that a black Ford Falcon utility, which was heading in a westerly direction, has crossed over the incorrect side of the road and collided with an eastbound red Nissan Patrol utility, he said. The driver of the black ute, the 24-year-old Kensington Grove man, was flown to Brisbane in a critical condition. His passenger, a 25-year-old Currimundi woman, sustained a significant leg injury and was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital where she underwent surgery. Police responding to serious traffic crash at Molendinar
A 28-year-old Toowoomba man remains in a critical condition after a motorcycle crash on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
Preliminary inquires indicate at 3.50pm the man was riding his motorcycle south on the Pacific Motorway and took exit 69, leading to Southport Nerang Road.
The rider has lost control of the bike on the bend and hit the guard rail.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating.
