Twenty-four coronavirus patients died in Maharashtra on Wednesday after oxygen supply was affected due to a leakage in the main storage tank of a hospital in Nashik city, reported

The incident took place at Zakir Hussain Hospital and led to oxygen supply being stopped for around 30 minutes. The hospital was run by the Nashik Municipal Corporation to treat Covid-19 patients, according to PTI.
A senior civic official said that of the 150 patients admitted to the hospital, 23 were on ventilator support at the time of the incident, while the rest were on oxygen support. The incident came at a time when Maharashtra, which is the worst-hit state due to the coronavirus pandemic, is struggling with oxygen shortages to treat patients.

Nashik : , April 21 (IANS) In a horrific incident, at least 22 Covid-19 patients on ventilator support died at a hospital in Nashik after a sudden drop in pressure due to leakage in the oxygen supplies, officials said.
The invisible gas tragedy took place at the Dr. Zakir Hussain Hospital run by the BJP-controlled Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), which is among the biggest civic bodies and one of the worst Covid-19 hotspots in the state.

At least 22 Covid-19 patients died today due to interrupted oxygen supply at a hospital in Nashik district of the Indian state of Maharashtra, the worst-hit region in the country, amidst an unprecedented surge in daily cases of coronavirus.
An oxygen tanker leaked while the tankers were being filled at Dr Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik district today. At least 22 patients have died due to low oxygen supply following leakage, said District Collector Suraj Mandhare.
He told the media the patients were on ventilators as well as on oxygen supply, which got interrupted after the leakage in the oxygen supply tank, our New Delhi correspondent reports.
