U.S. Senate confirms Hoosier Janet McCabe to be Deputy Administrator in Biden s EPA Sarah Bowman, Indianapolis Star Replay Video UP NEXT The U.S. Senate confirmed Hoosier Janet McCabe to be deputy administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday. President Joe Biden nominated McCabe for the position in January.  That means she will serve as the No. 2 under the agency s incoming leader Michael Regan, who was nominated for his experience as top environmental regulator for North Carolina.  In a time of partisan politics, McCabe was confirmed in a 52-42 vote. Republican Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Chuck Grassley (Iowa) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) joined most Democrats to vote for her nomination. Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) was the only Democrat to vote against.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Climate Change has the potential to impact Agricultural Productivity. One local farmer gives us his insight into the changing climate. Ed Shew is a local farmer from Clinton Indiana. He has worked as a full-time farmer for more than 40 years. He says every season is different. For me, it is just a natural course of events because every year the climate is different than what it was last year,” Shew said.
