New Delhi [India], April 10 (ANI): A leaked clubhouse chat of Trinamool Congress election strategist Prashant Kishor created a political furore as the West Bengal went for the fourth phase of assembly polls on Saturday.
Kishor said in the leaked audio that the Trinamool Congress was facing anti-incumbency and anger and that BJP had a good presence of workers in almost the entire state with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee equally popular .

The fourth phase of the West Bengal Assembly election, scheduled to take place on April 10, will witness the deployment of a total of 900 companies of security forces, the West Bengal Chief Electoral Office informed on Friday.
A total of 44 Assembly constituencies across five districts will go to polls in this phase, including Howrah, Hooghly, South 24 Parganas, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar. A total of 373 candidates are in fray to contest the polls on Saturday.

Setalakuchi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Saturday clarified that its soldiers were not involved in the firing incident in Cooch Behar in West Bengal in which four civilians were killed.
“Regarding the recent incident in the media about the killing of 4 civilians outside Booth 126, at Jotpaki, Cooch Behar, Sheetluchi assembly constituency, it has been clarified that the CRPF component was neither deployed at the said booth and Nor was it involved in this incident in any way, ” the CRPF said.

The fourth phase of polling has started in West Bengal. I urge today s voters for the record number of polling. Voting for 44 constituencies in West Bengal s fourth phase Assembly elections began at 7 am on Saturday amid tight security. This phase of the elections will witness an intense battle between 373 candidates in 44 constituencies of the state across five districts - Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, South 24 Parganas, Howrah and Hooghly. Among the 44 constituencies, nine are in Howrah, 10 in Hooghly, 11 in South 24 Parganas, five in Alipurduar and nine in Cooch Behar. A total of 1,15,81,022 voters will participate in this phase, out of which 2,63,016 are first-time voters. The smallest constituency is Bally with 1,76,001 electorates whereas Chunchura is the biggest constituency with 3,13,701 electorates. As many as 15,940 polling stations will be used, including 12,361 main and 3,579 auxiliary stations.
