Morgan Community Association meets quarterly, and as a result its meetings are usually packed with information. Here’s what we heard last night, in the online meeting led by MoCA president

West Seattle Art Walk – Morgan continues with participants on second Thursdays, next one May 13th –
wsartwalk.org features participants, and venues have window signs.
Save The Stone Cottage – The historic Harbor Avenue bungalow was raised on April 13th, “14 inches at a time,” still no date set for the move to
Port of Seattle land but an auction is planned before that, with opportunities including being the person to press the button to move it off the foundation. It’s going to be a late-night event, as have been previous structural moves. Donations to the crowdfunding account still welcome.

Two weeks ago, we reported on the plan to build the
West Seattle Neighborhood Greenway all the way into North Admiral, instead of having its north end at The Junction. The city also announced two drop-in meetings for feedback, and plans for a survey. The first of those meetings is tomorrow morning – and the survey is open now. You can answer it here, and/or stop by
Uptown Espresso at California/Edmunds/Erskine, 10:30-noon on Saturday. Meantime, from an update sent by SDOT, more information about the greenway plan:
Our final route for the West Seattle Neighborhood Greenway reflects many of the needs we heard from the community to connect people with schools, parks, local businesses, and the greater transportation network. The new neighborhood greenway will bring affordable, active transportation options for all ages and abilities.

Speed limit signs are a suggestion? You should tell that to the police officer next time you get pulled over for speeding.

This is beautiful! Finally a safe place for bikes that can keep them separated from high/dangerous traffic regions of 35th, California, etc.
The light on 35th & Graham is a huge necessity on the corridor for bikes and peds who want to cross 35th without needing to mix up with cars coming across 35th at Morgan.
