The latest happened at Sandown Train Station yesterday (Thursday), according to a warning put out by the Bay CE School in Sandown. A spokesperson said: A report has been made to the police that an 11-year-old student was approached by a man at Sandown Train Station on May 13. Firstly we would like to reassure you that the student in question is safe and well. We understand that whilst rare, these kinds of incidents are very concerning for parents and students.

Warning After Stranger Approaches Schoolboy Offering Sweets In Newport

A schoolboy was approached by a stranger offering sweets in Newport this afternoon (Thursday), parents say.
It s alleged a man, wearing a black hoodie, got out of his vehicle to talk to the child.
The incident is said to have happened at around 3.22pm on Caesars Road, near to Victoria Recreation Ground.
The child, who is said to have been approached, declined the offer of sweets.
It has prompted parents to take to Facebook to warn others.
Felix Hetherington, 26, of Caesars Road, Newport, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He gave no plea at the first hearing yesterday, which was held at Portsmouth Magistrates Court. The case has been adjourned to March 22, at the Isle of Wight Crown Court. Mr Hetherington was granted conditional bail. Hampshire Constabulary was called to a report of a serious assault, just after 2am on Sunday February 21. At the time, two people were detained on suspicion of attempted murder. An injured 49-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition, according to police. Five people were arrested.
