Clearmont Shop Hop Draws Large Crowds – Sheridan Media

A selection from Weeping Willow Designs by Kelly Betz For the fifth year, with the exception of 2020, Clearmont Shop Hop had a very successful show this past weekend. The Shop Hop, with Clearmont Area businesses selling everything from pottery to pickles and from quilts to shabby chic furniture, drew large crowds on both Friday and Saturday, thanks in part to the warm spring weather. Over a dozen vendors, spread out through the town of Clearmont, with two vendors on the outskirts of the town. There were tasting, samples of salsa, pickles and caramel puff corn as well. The Hop went from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with lunch being served by the Clearmont Community Church from 11 to 2.

Clearmont Easter Egg Hunt Well Attended – Sheridan Media

Jenna Gorzalka and her twin girls, Lyric and Loralei, wait for the hunt to start. It was a colorful scene on Saturday as 53 kids and their families, totaling nearly 130 people from the Clearmont area as well as many from Buffalo, came to hunt plastic Easter Eggs filled with candy, and to be entered in a draw to win various other prizes. The hunt started at 10 a.m., with three areas of the Arvada-Clearmont school set aside for various age groups to find the Easter Eggs. “This is an annual event, and this is the 6 th year we have hosted it,” Sarah Walker, Rec District Manager. said. “My husband, three kids and my mother helped me to fill 1627 plastic eggs with candy for the hunt.” Most of the eggs were returned to the Rec District to be used again, however youngsters could keep the eggs if they wanted.

Clearmont Church Plans Christmas Service – Sheridan Media

Pastor Cody Ramsay said today that the Clearmont Community Church is planning for the on coming Christmas season, with the Christmas Eve Candlelight service to be held at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and the Christmas service to be held at 9 a.m. the Sunday before Christmas, on Dec. 19 th.  On November 15 th, the church packed around 100 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a division of Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse.  These boxes, filled with small toys, hygiene items, and other fun things for the needest children in the world, according to the Pastor.        Pastor Cody said that the church has held virtual services for some time due to Covid-19, but currently are having services at the church.  “People are asked to respect each other use common sense precautions to protect yourself and your neighbors from the Covid.”
