Mumbai: In a major relief to the hospitality industry battered by the coronavirus pandemic, the Maharashtra government has announced a partial waiver of the excise license fee along with the roll-back of the 15 per cent annual fee increase for the year 2020.   The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) and the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) have welcomed the Maharashtra government s decision. Dadar: No action taken against Hotel Pritam for violating Covid protocols during a late-night check, clarifies BMC Mumbai Mirror / Updated: Dec 18, 2020, 07:45 IST Dadar East for violating the Covid-19 protocols, the BMC has retracted its statement and clarified that there was no action taken against the establishment during a late-night check on December 13. In a report on December 16, ‘No NY bash beyond 11.30 pm’, Mirror reported that the civic body had levied a fine of Rs 9,800 on Hotel Pritam for hosting 120 patrons without masks at around 1am. The BMC had also said that the hotel was served a show cause notice. The Centre and the Shiv Sena-led MVA government in Maharashtra are locked in a tussle over ownership of the land at Kanjurmarg.
