Brittany Zazueta was only a year older than Collin Wiant when the Ohio University pledge died after inhaling a whippet inside his fraternity s off-campus annex house in 2018. But Zazueta didn t remember hearing much about Wiant s death from the leaders of her sorority at Wright State University. It was something we were aware of and something that people were talking about, but any introspection didn t last long, said Zazueta, now a 21-year-old senior studying marketing and entrepreneurship.
But when news about the death of Bowling Green State University sophomore Stone Foltz spread across Ohio s college campuses in early March, the discussion changed.

UGA senior earns top Marine officer training award

George “Tripp” Koenig of Atlanta puts boots on the ground when it comes to leading and inspiring. A University of Georgia senior, he spent six weeks over the past two summers in Quantico, Virginia, tackling the task of U.S. Marine Corps Officer Candidate School.
He didn’t just survive the process. Koenig thrived, rising to the top of his class and earning the Marine Corps Commandant’s Trophy, an honor presented to the candidate with the highest aggregate score in leadership, academic performance and physical fitness during the six-week Platoon Leaders Class.
